Shopping in Bromley

On Saturday we met Emma, and went shopping in Bromley.    Emma and Steve live on the edge of Bromley town centre, which is very convenient for them, and for us, as we can park the car at their house and walk into the shopping centre.

First stop was for coffee, of course, and a fairly strong cup of coffee it was too.   The sort of coffee that makes your hair stand on end, and your brain become very fuzzy.

So then it was off to look at the shops.  And once outside the shopping mall we noticed the market in the pedestrianised street, with its array of stalls selling food and household goods.   Not the usual market that you tend to see around, but more up market, and of course more expensive.    But the sun was shining, and the Jubilee flags and bunting plus the market stalls gave the area a festive look.
These topiary balls would rival any that can be bought in Holland.
Walter and Emma, looking happy in the sunshine.  Although I am not sure if they are entirely happy about being photographed amongst all the shoppers.   But they look good.
And first stop, my favourite shop.    And guess what it is?   Primark of course.    Primark is a huge shop in Bromley and full of very cheap clothes.   Unfortunately they do not always fit but what the heck, they are cheap.  Brian could have bought a pair of sunglasses here for £1.   That would have made him very happy.

And the shop window display is in keeping with the Jubilee and the forthcoming Olympic Games.   Very snazzy.
And talking about the forthcoming games, Donna now has a flag for every country that she can possibly claim as her nationality;  Australia, New Zealand, Holland and England.  And I forgot Wales.   She also has an assortment of hats, so no problems now supporting which ever team may be winning.   Unfortunately she received the Dutch flag too late to support the Dutch football team, in the recent European Football Cup.   But as the Dutch football team did not play terribly well, it was not really worth putting the flag out of her window in support for them.
