Camping Manjastre - a quiet and peaceful September

Here we are, back in Camping Manjastre.  A lovely quiet September, now that all the children have returned to school.  Although there is something special about school holiday time, as it is a time to be with family.  And the sound of children having a good time is always uplifting.

We have a pleasant quiet site beside the grape vines.  And soon it will be time to help pick those grapes.  Great fun.

The caravan on the left belongs to Emma and Steve, who are not here as they are back at work.  We gave their recently acquired caravan a close inspection.  They certainly made a great choice with this van, although about 25 years old,  it is in excellent condition.
Our awning, set up to cook for a large family, now just for Walter and me.  Everything remains in pristine order.
A beautiful view across the grape vines, at all times of the day.
The grapes certainly look delicious.  Apparently the grape harvest had to be delayed a week as the sugar content was not high enough.
Walter completing a small repair to Emma and Steve's caravan.  A new air vent.  Very easy to do, so now the van is watertight for the winter months ahead.
Initially we needed to give the caravan a really good clean, after our busy holiday in July. Now we are currently spending time with friends, catching up on reading and swimming in the nearly deserted swimming pool.  We have also started our morning walks, which are delightful in the cool of the early morning. And I am managing to swim a few laps of the pool. A little trimming of the waistline is definitely needed after months of eating delicious food.

The start of a lovely two and a half weeks in Camping Manjastre.
