Bewl Water

Bewl Water, which is off the A21, just before Hastings.  A large dam, which supplies water for that part of Kent, has also been developed into an area for outdoor sports and leisure.   But it costs to use the facilities. 5 pounds per person, and a reduction for a famility of two adults and two children - 15 pounds. Just to park your car, and use the playground, picnic area, and go for a walk.   So much for families, struggling financially.

Of course, there is also sailing, fishing, bouncy castles, bicycle hire which costs quite a bit of money if you wish to partake in these activities.

A cup of coffee in the cafe was much needed, in order to recover from parting with so much cash in order to park the car.

Jackson and Isabel loved the large adventure playground though, and spent some time on this slide, after Jackson wiped the water off, by using his yellow jacket.   Very resourceful.
The trees beginning to show their autumn colours.
There was plenty to do in the playground, so a great place for children to use up some of their energy.
Jackson trying out webbing.
Luckily it did not rain while we were there, and we all had a good time, Jackson and Isabel on the play equipment, and me practising using my new camera.
