Morning walk

On Thursday morning we decided to go into Le Lavandou for our early morning walk.  Makes a change from the bush walk.

The morning was glorious, sunny, blue skies and still a little cool.
The sand had been groomed and the sea was sparkling.
As we walked along the boardwalk, we saw the people employed by the little cafes/restaurants setting up their loungers and tables and chairs.
Some of the cafes are very smart, with landscaped gardens, plants in pots of course, and couches.
The beach was deserted,  so early in the morning. Within a few hours it would be very crowded.
We stopped at our favourite cafe, Cafe du Centre, where we ordered petit dejeuner, or I should say that I ordered it, and one arrived, for me.  A misunderstanding, my deux (2) sounded to the waiter as du (some) so he presumed it was breakfast for one.  I must make sure that in future I add more information.  No wonder Walter looked so glum in this photograph.
And to finish the morning we visited the market in order to buy some fruit and spices to make paella. A great market but dire on a hot morning at around 10 am when it suddenly becomes very crowded.
Then it was off home, for more coffee.  And to a change in the weather, namely wind.
