Camping Bela, Slovakia

We are in the lower mountains of Slovakia, the Mala Fatra National Park.   The mountains border Poland, and Zakopane, Poland is not far away.   And of course it is raining, and has been raining all day.   We have heard about flood warnings lower down in Slovakia, especially in Bratislava, so maybe it was just as well we came higher up into the mountains.

We stopped at a wonderful cafe on the way up here, in order to have coffee and take some time away from the rain soaked road.   There was a fire burning in the fireplace, and the smell of good food, so we decided to have cooked ham and eggs with our coffee, which cheered us up.   The wifi was also excellent.   This always makes us feel happy.

The view from the window of the rain soaked camping ground.
Walter relaxing in his chair, not realising that we had a problem with a water leak in the kitchen cupboard.
Walter does not know that I took this back view of him as he tried to fix the tap unsuccessfully.   Tomorrow he intends to take the whole sink out, in order to get at the problem.    We thought at first that it was the waste hose that was leaking, so Walter lay on the ground, and taped the hose up with very sticky white tape.   Not an easy task.   Then he turned on the tap and discovered it was a tap problem not a waste hose problem.   Oh dear!
And I slipped over on the wet grass, and got very wet, but it could have been worse, as it was before I filled the pot up with water, rather than afterwards.   Never wear thin plastic flip flops on wet grass.

We are keeping an eye on the river behind us, but at the moment it looks like it is flowing along peacefully.   We are high up enough in the mountains for it not to be collecting too much water.    Hopefully.
