Yesterday afternoon it rained, and rained, and rained. Altogether 1 inch of rain fell in about two hours. We believed that it would rain for ever, or at least for 40 days and 40 nights. And we would need to build an ark. But it stopped thank goodness.
We viewed the side garden through a waterfall coming from the verandah roof.
The back garden looks very lush, through a curtain of rain.Rudolf returned from playing bowls elsewhere and told us he only had a few spots of rain. Luckily. His team also won the match.
Then Connie cooked a most delicious meal - home made meat loaf, sauteed potatoes, carrots glazed with honey and rolled in sesame seeds, and cabbage cooked with bacon. The wine was also delicious.
This morning we went to a lovely service at Rudolf and Connie's church, called The Wave. The building takes the shape of waves, as it is situated in a sea side suburb. It also represents a wave of new life.
After lunch we went to Leopold to view the show homes there. A great Sunday afternoon activity which we all love to take part in. We viewed 20 show homes, and I could easily live in all of them. Most of them include four bedrooms and a study and often three living areas. Prices of the houses started at $150,000 and went to $300,000. You would of course have to add the price of land to the price of the house.
Walter and Rudolf looking very comfortable in the 'Games Room'.
The chair I would love to take back to the UK. I am not sure where I would store it!
Jackie, please take note of the cushions!
Inside and outside living. Very popular here, as it was on the Sunshine Coast.
The outside living area, complete with its own hob.
Such a great use of colours. And so clean and calm.
Tomorrow we are on the road again.
