This morning Jeff had a bath, which he appeared to enjoy, as long as he stayed in my hand. He was not keen to stand in the water on his own. He also lapped at the water. So cute.
I had a look on the internet, and apparently bearded dragons should be bathed once a week, in order to keep them hydrated, and it helps them shed their skin.
So what to use as a bath? I did not fancy leaning over the hand basin or sink or 15 minutes, so decided on a casserole dish. A clear casserole dish so that Jeff could see through it. And not feel too claustrophobic. There would also be more control! And a sit down job for me. But of course the water, which needed to be warm, cooled very quickly so Jeff started to go into hibernation mode. So Jeff felt even more relaxed!
Jeff must have felt extra good after his bath, because he was even more alert when he went back back into his vivarium.
