Back in the UK

We awoke the first morning to lovely sunshine.   This is the weather I am expecting here in March.     Sunny and mildly warm.   So we sat in the conservatory and soaked up the sunshine.    We drank coffee made by Walter in our own coffee machine.    The coffee was perfect.  Of course.      I need to say this because we spent a great amount of money on this new machine.

As well as the sunshine, our beautiful orchid is still flowering profusely.    Thanks to Ken and Carmen.
And the moles have been busy.    As expected, of course.    No murderous feelings towards them yet.
The woods look beautiful in their starkness.    Still too early for leaves.
The crocuses and daffodils are flowering.   Spring is here.   And summer beckons around the corner.

We weigh ourselves.   Exclamations abound!   Did we eat that much food?    Did we drink all that beer and wine?   The problem with food in Australia and New Zealand, it is delicious.    Fresh, with imaginative combinations of ingredients, and abundant.    And we enjoyed it all.   Too much!

So we are now on a strict diet.    And it is not a 'seafood and eat it' diet either.    Sadly.   No.
