Travelling back to the UK

The evening before we left Singapore we had a feast of favourite food.   We first ordered a chicken murtabak and an onion roti prata, and two bowls curry juice, followed by a large plate of fresh fruit (mango, pineapple, papaya), and finally a huge paper prata covered in chocolate sauce.    Afterwards we felt very happy and very full.   And contented.

Walter looks very happy as he starts to attack the prata with a fork.   And of course the prata cone collapsed into small pieces.   Have you ever tried to pick up pieces of paper with a fork?  Impossible.    So after a few minutes of trying to politely use a fork, we resorted to using our fingers.    Bliss.
All ready, and waiting for the bus to take us to Changi Airport.   Heavy rain outside too.   Time to go.
A very long flight back to the UK.    14 hours in total.    Good flight, due to being on the huge air bus A380, and having exit seats as well.   But no sleep though.   By the time we tumbled into bed we had been awake for 24 hours!

We have had a fantastic trip. We have revisited places, and spent time being tourists.    But most of all it has been lovely to spend so much time with family and friends and to be part of their lives.   There is no doubt the happy memories of the time spent with people will be with us for ever.
