The last few photos from Invercargill. My apologies, the photos are out of sequence!
Walter looking googly eyed at his large plate of seafood salad. It contained prawns, mussels, calamari and blue cod on a bed of lettuce with a sweet chilli sauce dressing. It took some time to eat. But was delicious.
On Saturday we went to Barry and Diana's for a lovely afternoon tea. It was really great to catch up with all their family again. Tony with his new son. A proud dad.
Walter standing in front of Mavis' flat.
The view of the gardens out of Mavis' front window.
I had a chance to play bowls with Shona. She won of course. But I did not disgrace myself, and kept the bowls mostly on the correct rink. A first chance to play on a proper lawn too.
Bowls at Waihopai.
We had lunch out with Shona and Mavis.
David and James' workshop in Invercargill. A very successful concern.
Shona made us the most delicious whitebait patties. Whitebait is a very tiny white fish.
Barry and Diana with their dog, Dexter.
Tony and Michelle, looking relaxed, whilst their little son sleeps peacefully in his car seat.
So after staying goodbye to everyone, we set off for Clyde in Central Otago.
