Dining out. And we certainly did plenty of that around Adelaide. The food is so good, and fresh, and often cooked to perfection. And seaside views make the experience even better.
Friday evening at Aldinga Beach Surf Life Saving Club. A barn of a place, and definitely no cosy and intimate atmosphere. Concrete floor and walls, formica tables and plastic or vinyl chairs. People line up to order their meals. But the food is delicious. South East Asian food, authentic, perfectly cooked. And inexpensive.
The place is so popular that people must book in very early. I think by Wednesday. Amazing.
Darren, Scott and Walter enjoying a pre dinner drnk outside the club. The view over the beach is stunning. They moved our table out onto the verandah, so we were able to watch the sun setting.Scott and Jay on the beach.
Jay and her friend Jazzie, having some fun.
Sunset over a very calm sea. Scott took the next three photos so I cannot claim credit for them.
The moon already up.
And the bright red sky. What a fantastic spot.
This grand and ornate hotel at Largs Bay could easily have been part of an old Roman Arena. But it was probably built in the late 1800s. Someone had a lot of money to spare I think.
The inside is equally as grand.
The staircase leading up, up, up. We ate in the bar, still very pleasant. Lots of fish of course. But I think Walter and Scott may have ordered pizzas. Just for a change.
Jay enjoying her wedges with plenty of sour cream and sweet chilli sauce. At a hotel in Victor Harbour.
No more salt and pepper squid for me. Not until next time, that is. My favourite.
