Granite Island

I made another trip to Granite Island, this time with Walter, Jay and Jespa.    The only discussion we had about rocks this time was to tell Jay and Jespa not to climb onto rocks that were too dangerous.

We first climbed onto the horse drawn carriage for an easy trip to the end of the island.   Walter and Jay braved the wind on the top of the carriage.
Jespa and I sat in comfort inside the carriage.   Jay came down briefly so that she could get her photo taken.
Then we began walking around the rest of the island.  The first climb onto the rocks.
As it was a windy day, the sea was very rough.
The umbrella rock.    They liked this rock.
We also found some old pine trees, which were perfect for climbing.

Jay and Jespa spent quite a long time climbing around in the tree.   Much better than a playground.
Nearly at the end of the walk.
All in all it was the quickest walk (run) around the island, even with the stops to climb rocks and trees.   Walter and I felt that we had used up a few calories on this trip.
