We woke up this morning to brilliant sunshine, temperature has been about 24 degrees all day.    Perfect weather.

I also woke up feeling great, the red wine last night had cured the lower tummy problems.    I must drink more red wine!   Unfortunately it did not cure Walter's cold, poor thing, so he is coughing and spluttering in and not enjoying the beautiful weather.

Today we went to a local market which was very huge.    There were too many choices so ended up by not spending very much money.    Prices were very reasonable.    Queensland is proving to be a shoppers paradise.

Walter was fascinated by the snakes, but decided that he did not want his photo taken with one of them.
We ate most of the huge bacon and egg breakfast at one of the stalls.   I have ascertained that Australians are big eaters!
Afterwards we visited June, who came over to Australia with us in 1966.    In her garden there was the largest peace plant that I have ever seen.
She also has a beautiful jacaranda in the front garden.    Jacaranda trees are in full bloom at the moment.   They are so beautiful.
June, Jackie and me, together for the first time since 1967.   We have not changed of course, in our minds anyway.
Tomorrow off for some sightseeing.
